The Princess

Princess Siridhorn comes to town to open a new hospital wing  for monks .

We arrive at 8 am she arrives at 11.30.............

Buddha casting .

Tradition has it that during the monks ' probation ' period ( Pariwat ) it's a good time to create some new Buddhas.

                                               They're sculpted wax on top of plaster

                                         
                                               covered in cement(?), rebar and cement again
