Rain ?

Scabiosa,
one way or another, pretty dramatic colours.
And yes we had some rain at last,
not quite enough, but a little 'dustsettler'.

July flowers again.....

Tithonia, or mexican sunflower, a very nice annual , 60cm tall and very bushy,

our big Callistemon always a show stopper,
or our coffee break station,
and then there was our water lily with kroos ( or pond scum for the less poetic amongst us ) ,
and Selma having a little song , just like Celine Dion we think.

Sunday, July 6, 2008

Bye , bye , Bruce the Mighty.

A bit of a surprise , but Bruce the goose found a home already,
so this morning a final run with Selma , and now he's gone to a family in Shawnigan lake, well he is a nice guy, and Jodi was getting all soft over him , but Selma is happy again, doesn't like too much competition.

Wwoof

Wwoof...........

or ........... World Wide Opportunities on Organic Farms , meet Christine our wwoofer, she is staying with us AND working her butt off in the nursery, she's wonderful, all in exchange for a bed and a couple of meals, what a deal !
At the moment we're starting at 7 a.m., because of the heat, and we're getting an awful lot done, plus the cuttings are well under way, though the heat is a little tough on them.
