160 Monks for Christmas.

Or rather for Pariwat ,

a 10 day precept purification for monks ,

and we have some 160 of them ,

camping out at the lake ,

lots of chanting and teachings .

And in the mornings the Alms round with the people from Chomtong , and people from the temple , giving food to the monks

The Six Hour Ceremony .

And we walked away smiling .

Phra Maha Ot received a promotion from the King , upon his arrival back we had a parade into town , of course first we had to walk to the edge of town so we could wait for two hours , then the parade back into town and then the Ceremony , all in all 6 hours .

And we walked away smiling !

100000 Mynah birds

Sounds like : every day at 5.45 p.m. for about half an hour , our Ficus benjaminii gets visited by what sounds like 100000 Mynah birds .

100000 fishes.

On the occasion of the King s birthday , there was a release of a whole lot of fishes by Ajahn Tong and the rest of us , fun !
