Border Run .

Mae Sai on the Thai side , Tachilek on the Burmese side ,once your Visa has run out , you can get an extension when you leave the Kingdom , it used to be 30 days extra , as off the 1st it was 15 days , and as off yesterday only 14 days , which means a 1000 baht fine when I fly home.

So Hildegard and I left at 8 in the morning , driven for 300 plus km by Toh , walk 'across' the border/ river , give the Burmese authorities $10 , do some shopping , mainly Chinese cheap
stuff , bootleg cd's and dvd's , viagra and cigarettes , pick up your passport , and enter Thailand again , not a great system, and now even worse.

After that all that shopping we ended the day by some more shopping in Chiang Mai's Sunday market ,

some excellent mango with sticky rice , yum ,


and finally getting home at 11.15 at night. Another day well spend !

Meet Robert Superman , from bad guy to good guy , every evening he throws a life line to the meditators in the form of hot soya milk , though he himself can't stand the taste .

Meet my well trained house Gecko , he's doing the rounds now every evening, going hither and tither, protecting my mega mango from intruders , I tell ya it's tough around here.
